EEAC conducts periodic two-day meetings during the year,
including an Annual Meeting, held in Washington, D.C.,
and a Fall Meeting, generally rotated between a West Coast
and Midwest location. Meeting programs are designed to provide
useful information of current interest to a member companys
EEO staff and in-house employment counsel.
The meetings typically consist of a general session with
guest speakers discussing important policy issues; EEO/affirmative
action and legal updates; practically oriented workshops focused
on current compliance, legal, and best practices developments;
and informal roundtable discussions on subjects where participants
can share their companys experiences.
In addition to our general membership meetings, EEAC offers members several opportunities each year to participate in specialized forums designed to meet the needs of a particular corporate audience. Our popular, two-day McDowell Legal Forum brings member company in-house lawyers together in a confidential setting once a year to hear from EEAC staff experts on recent EEO-related legal developments and to share information, ideas, experiences, and compliance strategies. Our periodic, interactive conference call/web-enabled “eLegal Forums” are designed to provide busy in-house counsel with timely updates on breaking employment law and regulatory compliance developments.
