Developing & Defending Compliant AAPs

EEAC's Developing and Defending Compliant AAPs program is designed for EEO professionals and in-house lawyers who have responsibility for developing and implementing their company's AAPs, or who oversee or supervise the development and implementation of AAPs by a third party.  The course provides instruction regarding all aspects of designing, developing, and implementing compliant AAPs — as well as defending them in OFCCP audits — by teaching skills to:

  • Design an overall AAP structure that mirrors your organizational structure
  • Assign job titles to construct compliant organizational profiles
  • Develop AAP job groups according to job content, compensation, and opportunities
  • Understand and calculate external availability
  • Weigh external and internal availabilities to estimate final availability
  • Compare job group incumbency to availability estimates
  • Determine when — and at what level — placement rate goals should be set
  • Draft AAP narrative statements that capture your good faith efforts
  • Prepare disability and veterans AAPs that conform to recent regulatory changes
  • Use the AAPs to further your company’s strategic workforce planning objectives
  • Respond appropriately upon receipt of an OFCCP scheduling letter
  • Evaluate your compensation and transactions data using OFCCP’s statistical methodologies
  • Prepare desk audit submissions that serve to minimize findings of noncompliance
  • Respond appropriately to OFCCP requests for additional data or onsite visits
  • Negotiate the most favorable closeout document possible
