Proposed Rules to Implement Federal Contractor Minimum Wage Mandate

Earlier this year, President Obama signed an Executive Order mandating that federal contractors pay employees working under certain federal contracts a minimum wage of at least $10.10 per hour. On June 17, 2014, the Labor Department proposed regulations to implement the new minimum wage mandate. This web workshop will provide an overview of important issues raised in the proposed regulations, such as how the Labor Department proposes to determine which federal contracts are within the scope of the executive order and which employees might be entitled to the new minimum wage.
